YOUTH
Mario Hristov – Youth Pastor
At New Life, we believe that youth ministry is the ministry of the future. Our youth is the future of this nation and that is why we minister to them, starting with a solid foundation of sound and relevant Bibleteaching. We challenge our youth to be bold for their faith, sincere in their walk with Jesus, and real in their everyday lives! We expect the very best of ourselves and the very best of our youth!
Skate Ministry
Our youth pastor came to America as a missionary to help build a skate park as an outreach ministry for a church in Delaware. After two years at the park, he moved out to Chicagoland to further his Christian education at a local Bible college and brought his vision for a skate ministry with him. He has been skateboarding for about twenty years and has won contests in Bulgaria, Germany, and here in the U.S.A. He used to be sponsored by East Coast Skaters and Newport Skate Shop. We have many skaters in our community and New Life offers a relevant way to connect to a church that will welcome them. We believe that we can praise God with every gift he has given us and our skateboards are a gift to praising and a bridge for reaching out!
Drama Team
If a picture is worth a thousand words, you have to see our drama team. Our senior pastor cries every time he sees us…seriously!
J-Club
God said to Joshua in Joshua 1:8 “Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything writtren in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” We named out Bible club “J-Club” after Joshua. In J-Club, we study different books of the Bible and sometimes we choose a book from a Christian author. Our society offers so many books to the young generation, but we constantly rediscover that there is no book like the Bible! We meet once a month in some-one’s home. The schedule is always posted on our monthly youth calendar.
